Maddie Nutt, MS, LPC
Founder + Therapist
Maddie Nutt is a therapist, writer, and founder of Wild Geese Counseling Collective. Her work bridges philosophy, mental health, and community care, grounded in abolitionist and trauma-informed practice, and shaped by a critical engagement with the culture that surrounds us.

She believes therapy is not only about managing symptoms, but about exploring meaning, identity, and the ways we live in the world together. Maddie is especially drawn to people who are questioning—faith, relationships, cultural expectations, or the stories they’ve been told about themselves. She works often with neurodivergent people and those who have been labeled with personality disorders, inviting curiosity and care to help people find space for their voice, values, and imagination. She also has a particular interest in supporting women processing complicated health journeys, using EMDR and EMDR intensives to help the body and mind integrate experiences of medical trauma and loss.

Beyond the therapy room, Maddie writes and experiments with collective practices of healing rooted in justice, creativity, and belonging.

Adilah Zafor, MS, LPC
Therapist
Adilah Zafor is a person-centered, experiential therapist with a warm and grounded approach to trauma healing. She integrates evidence-based methods such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to help clients reprocess painful experiences and move toward emotional freedom.

Her work centers on connection—helping people rebuild trust in themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. Adilah believes therapy is a collaborative space where clients can explore meaning, safety, and change at their own pace.

She is especially attuned to the impact of trauma on the body and mind, and works with individuals navigating relational abuse, anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence. Her practice is inclusive and affirming, with particular care for LGBTQ+ communities and those exploring intimacy, sexuality, and recovery.
